Born in the shadow of Mt. Rushmore:
Rapid City, South Dakota
Lives & works in Denver, CO
Influenced at an early age by my mother, Marlowe, who was constantly crafting, whether it was needlepoint or cutting picture frames on the radial arm saw, she found great joy in fashioning the world with her hands. Other early influences were John Eng, who carved cedar into figurative sculptures and the sculptor Dale Lamphere who was recently named South Dakota Artist Laureate.
